Hey there, fellow 3D printing enthusiasts and creators! Are you making money with your 3D printer? Want to make more?

Every so often, I hit the jackpot with one of my social media posts (like the Magnetic D20 storage container post). It goes viral, and suddenly, my DMs are brimming with people asking, “Hey, how much for this?” Now, as much as I love seeing that enthusiasm, the truth is, I’m just one person. I don’t have the capacity (nor the real desire) to start my own Etsy shop or anything of the sort. But, it got me thinking—why not connect those eager folks with someone who can bring those ideas to life?

So, here’s the deal: I’m on the lookout for 3D print shops that are up for a bit of collaboration. If you’ve got the setup to make money with your 3D printer, namely, the ability to create and ship out products, then we might just be able to help each other out.

How It Works

Here’s the rundown:

  1. You keep doing what you’re best at: Creating amazing 3D printed items. I handle the hustle of getting orders through my social media channels and website.
  2. I take a commission for being the middleman, and then the rest of the cash goes straight to you. It’s a win-win—you get business, and I monetize my socials in a way that feels right.
  3. You’d also be in charge of shipping the items and maybe sorting out any customer service issues that come up. I’m not entirely sure about the customer service bit, I’m still fleshing this idea out.
  4. You get paid. Of course. That’s the whole point. I want to make sure talented creators like you are compensated for your incredible work.

A Work in Progress

I’ll be honest: I’m still ironing out the details, especially around pricing and licensing. Right now, a lot of the stuff that I post about is someone else’s creation and only licensed for that specific use. It’s a bit of a puzzle, but I’m curious and somewhat hyperfixating on it at the moment. That’s where you come in.

Let’s Chat

If you’ve got ideas, suggestions, or just want to jump right in, I’m all ears. I genuinely believe that by pooling our skills and resources, we can create something awesome and be a little better off. If we can do so without being at the mercy of faceless corperations, that’s all the better!

Interested?

If this sounds like your kind of gig, I’ve set up a form for you to fill out. Send me an email, use the subject line “printer’s guild”, briefly let me know your experience, machine capabilities and thoughts, and let’s start talking about how we can work together.

Thanks for considering this. Like I said, I’m still working on this idea and I wouldn’t expect things to happen right away, but I’m excited to see where we can take this and how many cool projects we can bring to life for people who love what we do.

Let’s make some magic happen!
