As much as I like my 2018 GMC Acadia, the cupholders are all one size, which doesn’t work for for another thing that I really enjoy, Nespresso coffee. Well, specifically the to-go tumbler that I use when taking the coffee on the go. So I decided to make a tumbler adapter so that I could use my tumblers in the car.
Making the adapter was pretty straight forward, you just need one piece that is wide and tall enough to fill the entirety of the cup holder. Then you extend that piece to make it even wider and taller so that it fits the tumbler that you’re designing for .
I did take one extra step and hollowed out the bottom piece of the adapter. Doing so helps me to maximize storage space in an already cramped area. Had I left the adapter filled in, I would have just been blocking off the cars cupholder and I wanted to make use of that extra vertical space!
